I want to let everybody know that we are going to do another computer class. It is sponsored by The Teach Goes Home Program. The dates are September 28, 29, 30 and October 1,2 the time will be 5:30 -8:30 pm. The classes are FREE and so will the Laptop you be using and it will be yours to take home when classes are complete. The age group for this is from 18 to 100. Even if you are Home schooled or a graduate of the up coming 2027. Come by or give us a call at the Sunbright Library 423-628-0353.

Starting in September, we will start the reading challenge "Books and leaves on the reading tree." You will need to spin the wheel and read the book on the wheel. Then you put the title on the book or leaves. The most books read will get a prize.

The Sunbright Public Library has the position of assistant open. It is for 10 hours a week plus sub work on occasions. You will be trained on how to check items in and out etc. Computer's skill a must. You will need to help adults and children choice books. Assist patrons on the computer when needed. You will need to help and plan adult and children programs. We have home schooled children in the area, we need to help aid the parents in their education. You need to be able to greet and help people when they come in the door. You need to drop off your resumes and references at the library.

My assistant did not work out. The Sunbright Public Library hours will be as followed: Monday-Friday 1:30 - 6:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 2:00 pm. Sorry about the confusion. When I got an assistant the times may change.

The Sunbright Public Library is open 30 hours a week now. For now the hours Mon-Fri 1:30 pm -6:30 pm and Saturday 9-2 pm. These hours may change in the future. Watch our face book page for udates.
