Did you know you interact with emergency management more often than you think?
Emergency management influences everyday life in ways many people don't realize. The profession helps people and organizations think through what could interrupt daily life, respond when circumstances change, communicate what people need to know, learn from experience and understand how different challenges can affect one another.
Its impact reaches further into everyday life than most people realize, and much of that impact can be easy to miss.

Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into the evening across northeast Wyoming and western South Dakota. A Slight Risk covers the eastern foothills down through the Pine Ridge/Martin area, with a Marginal Risk across much of the remaining region. Hazards include frequent lightning, damaging winds over 60 mph, heavy downpours, and hail larger than 1 inch. Stay alert, monitor conditions, and have a plan if storms approach.

With somewhat drier air moving in, showers and thunderstorms should be more isolated today. Temperatures will average near seasonal averages.
