Thank you for celebrating the arrival of our new all-electric on-demand rideshare service, Sunnyvale Beam!

Today we gathered at City Hall for a ribbon cutting ceremony with City leaders, staff, partners, and community members.

Attendees listened to remarks by City Manager Tim Kirby and Director of Public Works Aaron Bert. They also enjoyed rides in the vehicles, special giveaways and light refreshments.

Sunnyvale Beam is funded by the City of Sunnyvale and a grant from California’s Transit and Intercity Rail Capital Program. The all-electric fleet supports the City’s goals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. And it gives riders an easy and affordable new way to move around our community.

We encourage you to download the Sunnyvale Beam app and catch a ride anywhere in Sunnyvale. Your first three rides are free! Learn more about Beam at City.RideWithVia.com/Sunnyvale

We are studying the addition of a shared-use trail for walking and biking along the East Channel. The trail begins at the San Francisco Bay Trail in the north and extends south to Homestead Road.

The survey is available in English and Español. The last day to take the Survey is August 30. View survey here: https://www.hopp.bio/sunnyvale-ectstudy
