he average length of stay is approximately 6 months. Florida Palms Academy is a regional community-based residential treatment facility that focuses on the deinstitutionalization of emotionally disturbed children. Florida Palms Academy is designed as a boarding school located in Hollywood Florida. The program is specifically designed for elementary and middle school aged children (6-14) who can benefit from psychiatric residential treatment and educational remediation. Services Provided:

Psycho-Educational On-Grounds Program

Specialized Therapeutic Group Home Care: Alpha and Omega
The residential specialized therapeutic group homes are designed for children with emotional and behavioral difficulties that cannot be maintained in their home setting. Many of the youths served in this setting may have already experienced foster home, group home, o long term residential care or inpatient placements.The Alpha group home for boys and the Omega group home for girls, both serve up to eight boys and girls respectively; ages 12-17 years old.
