Abortion-drug giants aren’t backing down after a crucial pro-life victory last week: They are asking the U.S. Supreme Court to reverse a lower court decision that temporarily stops abortion drugs from being mailed nationwide.
This is how we got here...
With help from our Ministry Friends, ADF has been representing Rosalie Markezich and the state of Louisiana as they courageously challenge the FDA’s reckless abortion-by-mail scheme. Last week, the Fifth Circuit ruled in our favor, temporarily pausing the shipping of abortion drugs nationwide while the Fifth Circuit appeal continues.
This is an incredible victory for life. The leading method of abortion in the U.S. was stifled!
Less than 24 hours later, the two biggest abortion-drug manufacturers in the country filed emergency motions at the U.S. Supreme Court to upend that decision. They want to continue flooding every state with abortion drugs—particularly the states that seek to protect life.
The Court granted a run-of-the-mill, seven-day pause on the victory while it weighs the issues. But that's not the end.
The next seven days are critical—we’ll brief the Court, and it will consider the arguments. And notably, this is currently the only case about abortion drugs to reach the Supreme Court.
So your prayers are essential. If the Supreme Court decides that the lower court’s ruling stands, then babies and their mothers will continue to be protected from mail-order abortions!
Please commit to praying for this case. Ask God to give the Justices wisdom, and that they would agree to keep these commonsense safeguards in place while our appeal proceeds.
