Throwback Thursday

Years ago, my daughter, Christa Faison Colvin , shared her passion for music, education, and service through her journey at UNCW.

Her story is a reminder that legacy is not only carried through titles or positions. It is carried through purpose, faith, education, and the willingness to pour into the next generation.

Watch Christaโ€™s UNCW feature here:

From the courtroom to the classroom, service to community has always been a part of the Faison family story.

Proud to celebrate Christaโ€™s commitment to music education and the positive impact educators continue to make in the lives of young people.

A great evening at the Greater Wilmington Sports Hall of Fame Dinner celebrating excellence, leadership, and the lasting impact of sports in our community.

It was an honor to spend time and get a picture with Tamera Ty Young and Coach Fred Lynch, and to celebrate individuals whose commitment continues to inspire others across the Wilmington area.

To Bill Curry (surfing), Ron Musselman (baseball), and Ed Wilson (youth coaching); although I didn't get a picture with us together the feeling is mutual.

I want to take the time to welcome the class of 2026 to our prestigious sports hall of fame.

Sports teach lessons that last far beyond the game: discipline, teamwork, resilience, accountability, preparation, and service.

Congratulations to all who were recognized and thank you to everyone who continues to invest in athletes, coaches, families, and the next generation.

Statistics show a high dropout rate in US prisons. Programs like WRAP expose children to professions, inspire them with success, and excite them about education. This proactive initiative offers positive options, shaping choices and ultimately leading to successful outcomes.
