We are excited that December 3rd we will be rededicating Nelva R. Albury Recreation Area at 9am. If you can make it, please come out and help us celebrate!

We are saddened by the fact that we had to post the following information on our website today concerning the Nelva R. Albury Recreation Area:
In a recent inspection of this park, we have determined that the modular play system is no longer sound and is beyond repair. Several pieces of the fitness circuit have also been determined to be in need of removal.
We will begin the needed removal on October 23, 2015. The swings, ten spin, maypole and rock wall will remain.
We are in the process of determining the recreation elements that will be included in the revitalization.

Thank you for your understanding as we strive to provide safe and fun parks in the Town of Surf City.
We are very aware of the importance of this Park to our Town and are diligently working on the revitalization project.
