Tyler Servant was born and raised in South Carolina and grew up in Surfside Beach where he currently resides with his wife Hanna, daughter Anistyn and son Jonathan. James High School and attended the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina earning degrees in real estate and marketing with a minor in Political Science. While in college he worked for Senator Ray Cleary in

the South Carolina Senate. After graduating from college, Tyler returned home to Surfside Beach and is currently the Cheif Executive Officer at Surfside Realty Company. In June 2014, Tyler was elected to serve on Horry County Council representing the Surfside Beach, Garden City Beach, Murrells Inlet and Burgess Area. A little more than a year after being sworn in he was elected Vice-Chairman unanimously by his peers. He currently chairs the Administration (Finance) Committee for Horry County Government and also serves on numerous boards/committees for the State Workforce Development Board (Governor’s appointee), Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, AccelerateSC (Governor’s appointee), Grand Stand Area Transportation Committee (Vice-Chairman), Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, the Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS and at Belin United Methodist Church. He is a graduate of Leadership Grand Strand (Class # # ) and is a member of Belin United Methodist Church, the Grand Strand Sertoma Club, the Greater Burgess Community Association, Garden City Beach Community Association, and the Coastal Carolina Association of REALTORS. 🚨 A BIG win for Horry County and the South Strand! 🚨

If you've ever sat in backed-up traffic on Hwy 707, the 17 Bypass, or 544, this one's for you.

Horry County Council approved extending Highway 31 to the 17 Bypass, plus connecting Scipio Lane to Big Block Road. That's real connectivity for the South Strand!

Once complete, this gives drivers a direct route from Surfside Beach to North Myrtle Beach and it'll help ease the daily backups on Hwy 707 between Holmestown Road and Big Block Road, plus the congestion on the 17 Bypass and Hwy 544 near Surfside.

Huge thanks to my fellow Council members and for getting this to the finish line. 🙌

Horry County Council approved the second reading Tuesday to extend Highway 31 to the Highway 17 Bypass, a move officials say will change how thousands of drivers commute across the county.
