*** Previously released information ***
Surprise Police are investigating an assault that occurred on April 4, 2026, at a large, unsupervised gathering near N. Sarival Ave. and W. Greenway Rd. The event was shared on social media, drawing a crowd that included many individuals unknown to the host. During the gathering, a teen was assaulted by multiple individuals. The investigation is active and ongoing.
Safety Reminder for Parents & Teens:
Talk to your teens about where they’re going, who they’ll be with, and whether adults will be present. Social media can quickly turn a small get-together into a large, uncontrolled gathering. Encourage your teens to leave immediately if a situation feels unsafe or begins to escalate. Knowing your child’s plans and maintaining open communication, even a quick check-in, can help prevent a dangerous situation.
Together, we can help keep our community safe.
