Today was one of those extra-sweet days at our community. 🍪🤎

We had the absolute pleasure of welcoming the Girl Scouts, who stopped by to share smiles, kindness, and of course, their famous Girl Scout Cookies with all of our residents!

There’s something so beautiful about generations coming together and sharing simple moments of joy. The smiles, conversations, and excitement throughout our community made today truly special.

A heartfelt thank you to the Girl Scouts for thinking of our residents and bringing a little extra sweetness into their day.

Sara has embraced her social role beautifully, and she is THRIVING! Watching her take ownership, contribute to her community, and feel genuinely valued reminds us exactly why these opportunities matter.

Through meaningful social roles, our residents are not simply participating, they are needed, trusted, contributing, and empowered. Every person has something valuable to offer, and sometimes all it takes is the right opportunity for that purpose to shine.

Sara isn’t just helping at the concierge desk… she has a role, a responsibility, and a place where her strengths can flourish.

Today we had the incredible privilege of celebrating Bob and Bobbi’s 65th Wedding Anniversary.

Fresh flavors, happy hearts, and meaningful moments.

At Mosaic Gardens, our residents enjoyed beautiful fruit kebabs as part of our Montessori-inspired dementia program. This hands-on sensory activity encouraged independence, choice, fine motor skills, and social connection while filling the room with laughter, conversation, and the sweet aroma of fresh fruit.

It’s amazing how something as simple as threading colorful fruit can awaken the senses, spark memories, and bring so much joy. Every fruit kebab was uniquely made.

We are grateful for these purposeful moments that nourish not only the body, but also the mind and spirit.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful Garden Discovery Basket as part of our August Summer Harvest theme! Through a sensory-based Montessori activity, they explored fresh vegetables and fruit using touch, sight, smell, and conversation, creating meaningful moments, encouraging reminiscence, and celebrating the beauty of the season.

🌿🍅 Garden Discovery Basket 🍅🌿

This week at Mosaic Gardens, our residents embraced the beauty of nature through a Garden Discovery Basket, a sensory-based Montessori experience designed especially for those living with memory care.

Surrounded by the colors, textures, scents, and shapes of a summer harvest, our residents explored fresh vegetables and garden treasures with their hands, awakened cherished memories, sparked meaningful conversations, and enjoyed moments of curiosity and connection.

Every veggie, and fruit became an opportunity to engage the senses, encourage reminiscence, and celebrate the simple joys found in nature.

Our August theme is Summer Harvest, and we look forward to a month filled with seasonal experiences that nourish the mind, encourage engagement, and create beautiful moments together.

🌸 Small Bouquets, Beautiful Hearts 🌸

Yesterday, August 5, our residents spent the afternoon creating their own beautiful floral bouquets, and what a special time it was. 💐

With every stem carefully chosen, these little bouquets became much more than flowers, they became expressions of creativity, friendship, and joy. It was wonderful to watch smiles bloom as each arrangement reflected the unique personality and heart of its creator.

Moments like these remind us that happiness is often found in the simplest things: sharing laughter, creating something beautiful, and enjoying time together.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this activity so memorable. Your creativity made our community blossom in the most beautiful way.

Summer Harvest has officially begun!

What a wonderful Resident Committee Meeting today! We kicked off our August theme: Summer Harvest, celebrating the beauty of the season with conversations about fresh fruits, garden vegetables, and all the simple joys that harvest time brings.

We also took a trip, without leaving the room as we explored the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Northwest, dreaming of towering evergreens, scenic coastlines, and unforgettable adventures.

The highlight of the day, though, was seeing so many new faces join us! It was such a joy to welcome everyone, hear new ideas, and watch new friendships begin to bloom. Your enthusiasm made today’s meeting extra special, and I’m already looking forward to everything we’ll experience together this month.

Here’s to a season of growth, gratitude, laughter, and making wonderful memories together.
