Fourth District Elementary School celebrated its FDES Miles for Fun Reward Party!

Students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade had the opportunity to run miles before school, during recess, and in PE throughout the school year. We had 19 students run 150 or more miles, 18 students run 125–149 miles, and 22 students run 100–124 miles. Together, these students ran an incredible 7,242 miles — totaling 28,968 laps!

Our 2nd grade students began running miles in January and had 15 students reach 50 or more miles. Together, they completed 912 miles, which equals 3,649 laps!

A total of 73 students earned the chance to celebrate their hard work with water slides, slip-and-slide kickball, pizza, snacks, drinks, and snow cones from Big Fellas.

We are so proud of all of these students for their dedication and hard work throughout the school year, and we were excited to celebrate their accomplishments!
