Today we recognized Robert Roadifer for his retirement after 23 years of service to the Lassen County Probation Department! 🎊🎉

Robert began his career with the department in 2003 as a Juvenile Detention Counselor, later becoming a Deputy Probation Officer in 2007. In 2010, he took on the role of Juvenile Hall Superintendent, providing leadership and guidance to both staff and youth. Following the closure of the Juvenile Hall, Robert continued serving Lassen County as the Day Reporting Center Supervisor.

Throughout his career, Robert has been recognized for his dedication, professionalism, leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to the youth, adults, coworkers, partner agencies, and community he served.

Thank you, Robert, for 23 years of making a difference! We are grateful for your years of service and we wish you all the best in this next chapter! 💙👏

Today we recognized Alina Glines and Cheryl Rutherford for their outstanding commitment to serving our community. 👏🤩✨ Alina and Cheryl are always the first to sign up to work events, and it doesn’t go unnoticed!

Alina and Cheryl both received a Certificate of Volunteer Service. They proudly represent the Probation Department at multiple community events throughout the year.

Finding photos of Alina and Cheryl working the booth, cramming the cruiser, ringing the bell and even delivering Christmas gifts to senior citizens was easy, because Alina and Cheryl are ALWAYS there. ❤️

Donations directly support Lassen Family Services food boxes — distributed on a monthly basis to individuals and families in need. Last week, Guillermo Pena successfully completed the Health & Wellness SUD educational class. He presented his success plan to the Chief Probation Officer, Deputy Probation Officers, Program Managers and the Case Coordinating Supervisor.

The Lassen County Probation Health & Wellness Division was established to address a critical gap in services for justice involved individuals by providing evidence based behavioral interventions with clinical oversight that target the underlying dynamic risk factors contributing to criminal behavior.

CBI-SUD is an evidence based cognitive behavioral intervention specifically designed for justice involved individuals experiencing substance use disorders. The curriculum developed on the basis of cognitive behavioral treatment helps participants understand how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors contribute to substance use and criminal offending while teaching practical strategies for lasting behavior change.
