Because of our incredible community and the dedication from our partners — Lassen Family Services was able to collect OVER 3,700 individual food & hygiene items!🥫🪥

Mentioned was a friendly competition & we would like to congratulate — Lassen County Probation Department for collecting the most donations!!🎉

Every dollar & donation mattered, with 5 food boxes being distributed this week alone. Thank you again to our community, who always comes together to support one another!❤️

• Mondays you can find Life Skills & Budgeting, 11am-12pm, with the final Monday of the month offering a free Cooking On A Budget Class, open to the whole family, 3-5pm! 💲💲⏲️🥘

• Wednesday’s offer Interactive Journaling, helping you express your feelings and thoughts in a positive way!📝

• Fridays are for Parent Education Classes, providing evidence based training and support! 🫂

• Our community clothing closet accepts donations and provides them to the community for free! Monthly food boxes of non-perishable items are also available!🥫👚

Indigenous Justice

Mark your calendar for Lassen Youth Culture Camp — Yeettlcana O’Tíssi Tipsáály on Saturday, August 22 at Volcano Adventure Camp in Lassen Volcanic National Park.

This day-long gathering is an opportunity for Native families and anyone interested in learning and experiencing Indigenous culture to come together, learn from one another, and connect with culture in the mountains. 💙

✨ Activities include:
🖐️ Traditional hand games
🧺 Pine needle basket making
🌰 Pine nut processing
🌿 Acorn processing
🪨 Flintknapping demonstrations
🎨 Face painting

🍳 Breakfast, lunch & dinner provided!

Besides collecting donations, teams are engaged in a friendly competition to see whose cruiser can be crammed the fullest!

Donations directly support Lassen Family Services food boxes — distributed on a monthly basis to individuals and families in need. SAVE THE DATE: Celebrity Dinner & Fundraiser Lassen Family Services!💜

Please join us for a special evening, where we are raising funds for critical services and starting conversations to strengthen survivors.

This formal attire event will feature local celebrities serving an up-scale dinner while also competing to collect the most “tips”, silent & live auctions, and a chance to bring our community together for an important topic.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to focus on supporting our survivors, identifying and preventing abuse, & encouraging hope among our communities.

Our staff was proud to be a part of the World Breastfeeding Week celebration event. Thank you to Northeastern Rural Health Clinics & WIC for organizing this today and supporting families in our community! 💙

We're excited to partner with Cozette Amador, a talented local instructor to offer a 6-week American Sign Language (ASL) course at Lassen Family Services!

👥 Open to ages 10 & up!
✨ All skill levels welcome—including beginners!
