Rules of Engagement

The goal of using Facebook by the Sutherland Public School District (SPSD) and teachers or sponsors associated with SPSD is to share important information with our public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accomplish this goal we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

• Engage in open conversation not personal issues. This page is not intended

to circumvent regular communication channels for sharing personal issues and concerns. Comments regarding a personal issue with the District or staff member will be removed.

• Be Respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks and profanity will be removed.

• Want to boost your product sales? Publish a personal page, and leave ours for sharing news and insights about our District and activities.

• Stay on topic. This is a page dedicated to the education of students in the SPSD. Let’s keep the conversation related to our District and activities. Comments of all kinds are welcome so long as they directly relate to our District or Activities.

• Have a question for a specific employee? Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment posted on this page.

• Be aware of the mission. The mission of the SPSD is education. Please be certain that your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages.

• Be factual. Blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. False information will be removed and factual information will be posted.

• Employees of the SPSD may have personal pages. Don’t be surprised or offended if your request to “friend” them is ignored. District policy encourages staff to keep their personal lives personal.

• This page is yours and we want you to feel comfortable sharing your views about the SPSD or activities. Just know, abuse of the above guidelines can lead to removal of a specific posting or the blocking/removal from our fan page.

🍩💗 DONUT WORRY, BE KIND! 💗🍩

Our Preschool & Junior Kindergarten friends started Kindness Kickoff in the sweetest way possible! 🥰

They earned DONUTS for showing kindness, being helpful, using kind words, and looking out for their friends. 🍩✨

Because around here, kindness is always worth celebrating! 💕 And what better way to start our kindness journey than with a little sprinkle of sweetness?! 🌈🍩

Congratulations to the cast of "Bard Noir: Ramona and Julian," this year's show for SPS Play Production. Rehearsals begin tonight! Keep an eye out for more information about performances that will begin in November.

About the show:
Something big went down at Club Verona, and it's Detective Prince's job to figure out just what that was. It wasn't surprising that there was violence between the Montague and Capulet crime families-they hate each other. However, Ramona Montague and Julian Capulet weren't the two you would expect to be caught up in the middle of it all. Join Detective Prince as he attempts to unravel all the threads and find the truth behind the tragedy at Club Verona. The Bard’s original Romeo and Juliet is transported into the 1940’s in this film noir style adaptation.

A big thank-you to Sergeant Brad Ward and Corporal Tyler Schultz of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department for spending time with our Junior and Senior High Students and Staff Friday morning!

Students learned about cell phone and social media safety, protecting personal information, making responsible choices online, and understanding the lasting impact of their digital footprint.

We encourage parents and guardians to continue these important conversations at home. Ask your child what stood out to them, what they learned, and how they can make safe and responsible choices online.

We appreciate Sergeant Ward, Corporal Schultz, and LCSD for sharing this important information and helping our students become safer, more responsible digital citizens! ⚓️

UPDATED

🏈 BUY THE YARD—FIRST HOME GAME! 🏈

Yard-line random assignments are filling up, but there are still plenty available! You do NOT need to be present to win.

At the end of each quarter, the person assigned to the yard line where the football is located wins! If the quarter ends with a touchdown, no winner will be awarded for that quarter.

Check the graphic for available yard lines and comment below or message us to claim yours. Let’s fill the field before kickoff! ⚓️
