Our community never fails to impress me! I had 18 big packages to pick up at the post office yesterday! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is all for our summer reading program. We have 112 kids registered! There’s still room for every age.

*Updated post!* Thanks to everyone that has donated already! We have 110 kids signed up which is the most we've ever had! I made another session because I don't want to turn any kiddo away that wants to come to the library this summer. So we'll have 3 sessions on Tuesdays, 2 sessions on Thursday mornings, and 2 sessions on Friday mornings for six weeks. What we really need now are a lot more snacks, lots of mini waters, generic cleaning sponges, and old t-shirts to use at paint shirts for the kiddos. TIA! https://a.co/06RWel7O

Our 5-8 year old spots filled VERY quickly. Is there any interest in a 3rd spot for this age group? It would be Thursdays 11-11:45. Or if you're scheduled for Tuesday or Friday at that time and this new Thursday time would work better for you, please let me know. If we can get 10 kiddos, I'll make a 3rd spot!

We are excited to announce that we received the Nebraska Library Internship Grant from the Nebraska Library Commission for a high school or college undergraduate to intern at our library this summer! I'm looking for someone to cover the circulation desk during summer reading and to help with running programming. This job pays $15 per hour and would be 5 hours per week. The times we need help are: Tuesdays 10:30-12 and 2-3, Thursdays 10-11, and Fridays 10:30-12. Summer reading is June 9-July 17. Training would be either the week of May 25 or the afternoon of June 4. If you are interested, please stop in the library to apply!
