🎉 WELCOME BACK, EVERYONE!

On Tuesday, September 1, we are excited to welcome all students in grades 1–12 back to school!

Kindergarten students will continue attending every other day during the first week. Kindergarten families should follow the schedule provided by their school.

🎒 **WELCOME BACK, SUTHERLIN STUDENTS!**

On **Monday, August 31**, we are excited to welcome back our **1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-, 6th- and 9th-grade students!**

Kindergarten will also begin with a staggered schedule. Kindergarten families should follow the attendance schedule provided by their school.

Our phased start gives students entering new grades and campuses time to meet their teachers, learn school routines and become comfortable in their surroundings before all students return.

Please slow down, stay alert, and always stop for a school bus when its red lights are flashing and the stop arm is extended. A few extra moments of patience can help keep our students safe.

Breakfast and lunch are available free of charge to every student in the Sutherlin School District throughout the school year.

Today, Sutherlin School District officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year with our district-wide theme: All Means All.

This is more than a slogan. It is a multi-year commitment to our students, families, staff, and community. We believe every student matters, every voice matters, and every opportunity matters.

All five of our schools came together to learn from one another, grow as a team, and strengthen our shared commitment to serving every child. Over the next week, our teachers and instructional assistants will be preparing classrooms, participating in important trainings, and building a strong foundation for a successful year.

We are energized, excited, and ready to welcome students back!
