Congratulations to these Braxton County 4-H and FFA members! There were 24 junior teams and 125 junior participants; 44 senior teams and 215 senior participants in the WV Beef Expo Stockman's Contest. Braxton County finished on top in both divisions! Great job!

The Braxton County 4-H Leaders are having a homemade roll fundraiser! They are baking hot rolls and yummy cinnamon rolls! Dinner rolls are $10/dozen. Cinnamon rolls are available for $12/half dozen. A limited number of rolls are available for sale - we will fill orders on a first come, first served basis. Rolls will be baked on April 3 and will be ready for pickup from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in front of the Braxton County Courthouse that day. Please be prepared to pay with cash or check made payable to Braxton County 4-H Leaders when you pick up your rolls. The deadline to order is March 31. Educational workshops begin at 10:00 a.m. Be sure to bring cash so you can bid on items in our silent auction, enjoy some fresh baked goods, and purchase tickets for the fantastic garden themed raffle basket! Don't forget the make and take classes featuring houseplant propagation and bow making ($5 each); creating a personalized leaf/flower press ($10) and making your custom spice blend ($10). On this Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting the construction of a new Dining Hall at Holly Gray Park. Over the years, Holly Gray Park, home of Braxton County 4-H Camp, has grown into more than a summer destination for young people. It has become a central hub for community activities and events, hands-on learning, and lifelong friendships.
The building is being constructed thanks to a Congressional budget appropriation to the Braxton County Commission, but we still need your help to complete this important project. Your donation will go directly toward commercial kitchen equipment, a large covered outdoor porch, and tables and chairs.
