Our Mission has always been to provide quality care to make our patients smile. We strive to live that mission each day, in and out of the office.

Dr. Thor L. Mikesell bought the practice in 1999 from long time owner Dr. (Doc) Hartesvelt and began his career working as a Family Dentist in Suttons Bay. Over the 20+ years of service, the practice has helped thousands of patients keep smiling and provided quality dental care to the community.

Our practice is very involved in the community, providing support for individuals and groups throughout Leelanau County. Some of those services include membership and donations to the Suttons Bay Rotary Club, Glen Lake Booster Club, Leland sports, Suttons Bay Booster Club, Suttons Bay Fine Arts and Annual St. Mary’s Auction. Dr Mikesell served on the Suttons Bay Public School Board for 8 years and part of that time was the School Board president.
