Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International

Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International Founded in 1981, the Georgia Chapter of SCI is one of the oldest SCI chapters in the world.

The Georgia Chapter of Safari Club International (SCI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and protecting our hunting heritage through education, conservation, and humanitarian efforts. Humanitarian Efforts:
The Georgia Chapter of SCI has long been a supporter of our men and women in uniform, hosting numerous wounded veteran events every year, including fishing trips and

hunts. Youth & Education:
Another priority for the Georgia Chapter of SCI focuses on promoting hunting and the shooting sports to the next generation of sportsmen-conservationists. Georgia SCI is a financial contributor to Georgia's R3 Initiative, working to recruit, retain, and reactivate hunters and recreational target shooters. The Georgia Chapter also hosts an annual Youth Deer Hunt, exposing and educating children to hunting and the great outdoors. New for 2020, the Georgia Chapter will host its inaugural Intro to Hunting Firearms day and "First Timer" Mentored Hunt. The goal with each of these new events is to create opportunities to educate people of all ages about firearms and hunting. Conservation:
The Georgia Chapter works in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources in a number of areas, whether it's providing financial support to the DNR Wildlife Resources Division to help purchases needed equipment, or recognizing the "Investigative Ranger of the Year" at our annual banquet. Our partnership with DNR is crucial to ensure hunting remains as a preferred method of conservation and wildlife management.

On March 14th, 2026, at Briarpatch Farm in Eatonton, our community will gather for something bigger than a concert… bigger than an auction… bigger than a fundraiser. It’s called “Honoring Our Heroes”, an evening dedicated to the men and women who have worn the uniform of this country and carried the weight of our freedom.
This event brings together powerful stories, award-winning music, remarkable experiences, and one shared purpose: to stand behind our veterans, especially those who have been wounded in service to this nation.
From keynote speaker Mark Nutsch, the real-life inspiration behind 12 Strong, to songwriter Matt Rogers, to wounded warrior Mario Lopez, this evening promises to be both inspiring and unforgettable.
