GCPS invites parents and guardians, community members, and school district employees to apply for the GEMS Oversight Committee, a group of community and school system representatives charged with the annual review of the Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum standards.

The next meeting is tentatively scheduled for October 27, 2026.

The application deadline is August 7.

More than 200 automotive students attended and spoke with vendors to learn the ins and outs of the collision repair and mechanical industries and had the opportunity to find local jobs in their area.

Construction students at Berkmar High School recently participated in an industry-recognized Forklift Certification training opportunity at Gwinnett Technical College in partnership with Georgia Power. Students who completed the training and passed the assessment earned a forklift certification, strengthening their employability and industry readiness.
