On Friday, September 11, the City of Suwanee will host a ceremony in remembrance of those who lost their lives as a result of and in response to the terrorist attacks that took place across the country 25 years ago. The ceremony will begin at 6PM and will feature comments from Mayor Jimmy Burnette, a guest speaker, as well as a wreath-laying ceremony.

This weekend in Suwanee is looking like another fun one!

On Saturday, the Suwanee Farmers Market will be open from 8AM to noon over at Town Center on Main! You can visit the park and browse through local vendors stocked with fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and much more. It's always a great way to start the morning.

In Town Center Park, Annandale Village will be having The Extra Mile 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run! Not only is this a chance to lace up your running shoes for a great cause, but this race counts towards the Suwanee Running Series! Register online: https://secure.qgiv.com/event/2026extramile5k/

The Suwanee Citizens Police Academy is back in session this fall!

This seven-week program meets on Monday evenings from 6:30PM to 9PM at the Suwanee Police Training Center. Participants will get a closer look at the day-to-day responsibilities of our Police Department, and they will have an opportunity to get to know some of our local officers while learning!

A section of the Greenway near Martin Farm Road is expected to be temporarily closed for approximately three days beginning on Monday, August 31. Please keep this temporary closure in mind when planning your runs, walks, or visits to the Suwanee Creek Greenway!
