๐ Spaghetti + Tape + String + A Marshmallow = TEAMWORK! ๐ก
Who knew a few simple supplies could create such a BIG challenge?! ๐
Our students took on the Marshmallow Challenge, working in teams to see who could build the tallest freestanding structure using only spaghetti noodles, tape, string, and one marshmallow. ๐๏ธ
But this challenge was about much more than building towers! Along the way, students practiced important active listening and interpersonal skills by:
๐ Listening to their teammatesโ ideas
๐ฌ Communicating respectfully
๐ค Cooperating and sharing responsibilities
๐ก Combining different ideas
๐ Adjusting when a plan didnโt work
๐งฉ Working together to solve problems
๐ง The BIG Lesson
Students discovered that successful teamwork takes communication, cooperation, flexibility, and a willingness to listen. Sometimes the best idea isn't just your ideaโitโs what happens when everyoneโs ideas come together!
And, of courseโฆ a little friendly competition never hurts! ๐๐
Build it. Listen. Communicate. Collaborate. Repeat! ๐ฏ๐
