Are you prepared for an evacuation if needed? Have you recently cleaned the dead brush out from around your house? Do you know the city protocols of an evacuation? These are the questions you should have an answer to with a dry summer ahead and the chance of many wild fires happening in our own backyards!

We wanted to give a HUGE shout out to Tobin Restoration for repainting our fire station doors 🚪 ❤️‍🔥
They did an amazing job, were very professional and they did it for free, which says a lot about the kind of company they are for supporting first responders!!

it was a close competition but everyone say hello to

DUCK NORRIS the wild land duck 🦆 ❤️‍🔥

the intent of this duck is to bring him along on our wild land deployments to have something fun to keep our followers engaged and to keep our firefighters on their toes 😉

Eastern Idaho is already experiencing extremely dry conditions this season, and it only takes one spark to start a fast-moving wildfire. As temperatures rise and fuels continue to dry out, now is the time to be extra cautious with all outdoor burning.

🔥 Be Responsible
Register your burn and follow local burning regulations.

💧 Be Prepared
Have water, tools, and a plan ready before you light any fire.

🚒 Be Fire Smart
Never leave a fire unattended, and make sure it is completely extinguished — drown it, stir it, and repeat until it’s cold to the touch.

Don’t underestimate the power of a single match. Help protect our communities, farms, rangeland, and firefighters this fire season.

Please contact your local fire department before you burn.

Wild fire season is upon us a little earlier than usual this year due to such a mild winter and warmer than normal temperatures this winter and spring. We ask that you get your burn piles out of the way sooner than later as a burn ban may begin earlier this summer than we are used to!

Always be sure to have water and shovel nearby to prevent any fire from spreading.

Burn your piles away from any nearby structures, preferably in a dirt field where there’s not a lot of fuel or in a pit.

Always call the non emergency dispatch number (208-529-1200) if you’ll be burning a big pile so that they can let us know and we don’t show up at your house unannounced!

Thank you and happy summer! ❤️‍🔥

🚨TRAFFIC DELAY ON 5/26 AT SNAKE RIVER BRIDGE🚨 🐮🐄

We will be assisting with traffic control to mooooovvee the cows back to their summer pastures on Tuesday May 26th between 9:45-10:45. The delay won’t be for that whole hour, just however long it takes the cows 🐮 to cross the bridge!

Thanks all!!

As we enter Memorial Day weekend we wanted to share a quick reminder about the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer.

Between Memorial Day and Labor Day is the 100 most deadly days for drivers. As you know our stretches of highway are some of the most dangerous and vehicle accidents make up a significant portion of our yearly calls.

Please, for your family, friends and us, stay safe out there by following these simple steps to a safe summer of driving.

•no distracted driving (cell phone, eating, taking eyes off the road)
•WEAR YOUR SEATBELT
•respect the speed limit (it’s there for a reason)
•DO NOT operate a vehicle of any kind if you’ve had alcohol to drink
•actively scan for wild life

Thank you and have a great weekend remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom ❤️🤍💙
