The YMCA Mobile Food Market will be at the Swannanoa Library this Thursday, September 3rd! Stop by any time between 11:00am - 12:00pm.

Every month, the Y brings fresh, healthy produce to 21 locations throughout the community for free. No questions asked and no reservations needed. Come see us next week at these locations!

Tuesday, September 1: Mills River Parks & Recreation, 1-2 p.m.
Wednesday, September 2: Ferguson Family YMCA, 11 a.m.-Noon

Join us for the Swannanoa Public Library’s monthly Star Trek Fan Club meeting!

This is a group for adults who love all things Star Trek! Whether you’re a long-time fan or completely new to the Star Trek universe, we invite you to come hang out and talk ‘Trek, watch episodes, do trivia, make themed arts & crafts, and more! Additionally, accessibility and diversity are core themes of Star Trek, and we’ll be embodying that here at the library. Edit: We will close today at 3:00pm. Based on current estimates of return of power, we will reopen tomorrow, Saturday, August 15th at 9:00am.

The Swannanoa Library is currently without power. We are still open at this time, but check-outs are limited to 3 per card and we cannot access account information. We also cannot provide any computer or printer services.

Join us for a movie marathon of monstrous proportions! From 11:00am to 5:00pm on Saturday, August 22nd, we will be showing three monster movie films back-to-back, all featuring one of Japan's favorite kaiju: Mothra: the Queen of Monsters! There will be free snacks, as well as Mothra-themed coloring sheets and trivia.

The first film is rated PG, while the second and third are not rated.

Planning on attending the Groovin' on Grovemont concert series? Don't forget to stop by the Swannanoa Library table! During each concert, we'll have a kids' craft open to everyone. For the third concert on Tuesday, August 11th with Kellin Watson & the Feelgood, we'll create colorful mini magnets.

We'll provide the magnets and the paint, you just bring the creativity!
