Mattamuskeet Senior Center Mattamuskeet Senior Center is dedicated to helping older adults remain active, engaged, and independent in their communities.

The Senior Center is a great place to enjoy yourself through fellowship and celebrations with other seniors of Hyde County. It is also a great place to volunteer your talents. Give us a call if you would like to volunteer or join in the activities.

We need Meals on Wheels volunteer drivers or at least people to fill in! We have a great group now but we really struggle if we have two out the same day and especially if one of us is out as well! We often deliver meals ourselves when possible but we do not need to leave our seniors at the center alone in case of a health emergency.

If you have received a letter from your doctor’s office or United Health Insurance regarding no longer covering your visits or treatments…you have the month of notification (letter received)plus two more months for a special enrollment period to change your Medicare Plan. Schedule change on Wednesday, June 10th…due to a scheduling conflict for the presenter it will now be held on Wednesday, June 24th.
Relay is the event and it’s about telecommunications for the hard of hearing and seeing. It is at 10:00 on June 24th!
