Mark your calendars 📅 for BINGO at Waring-Sullivan Home at Birchcrest, benefiting our veteran friends at the Veterans Association of Bristol County. Bring a canned good or non perishable item and have some fun playing bingo, win prizes and eat some pizza 🍕

We have generous community members looking to donate vital medical equipment directly to a veteran in need! 🇺🇸Items currently available:
1 Transport chair
2 Wheelchairs
1 Rollator
1 Stand-up walker
1 Hospital bed
1 Shower chair

Items can be requested individually or together. If you or a veteran you know could benefit from this equipment, please reach out to our office as soon as possible.

First-come, first-served basis for local veterans. Please share to help us get these items into the hands of someone who needs them!

Reminder, this Wednesday come on down to the American Legion Post #303 Swansea, MA to meet Rep Thurber. This event will feature State Rep and Legion member Justin Thurber.

As a reminder, the American Legion does not support or endorse any political party or candidate. Our mission is to provide a space where residents can meet their elected officials and get information and have questions answered.

We had the pleasure of helping korean war veteran Joe Valiquettes daughters, family and loved ones along with Somerset Office of Veteran's Services present him with his service medals he never recieved. We also presented Joe with a citation on behalf of State Representative Justin Thurber. The American Legion Post #303 Swansea, MA generously gave Joe a membership to their post. Big thank you to Clifton assisted living for hosting this event providing refreshments, cupcakes and live entertainment.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in our Poker Run fundraiser on June 28—especially all of the riders, supporters, and VFW posts who helped make this event such a success.
Today, we were proud to officially deliver the proceeds and make a generous donation to the New Bedford Veterans Transition House.
This event was made possible through the partnership of the Swansea VFW - Post 2045 and Veterans Brotherhood VMC - Massachusetts Chapter, and the Leather Necks MC. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who donated, volunteered, and rode to support our veterans.
