Stephanie Zundel, of Edison and a senior at Vanderbilt University, will run the marathon for the first time after qualifying with a time of four hours, 50 minutes in the New York Marathon. And she's only been running for about a year.

Thank you to Kristi Rhoades, BSN with MedExpress Urgent Care for being our Guest Speaker last Thursday. Many of us think of urgent care as the place to go when we have the flu but we learned MedExpress Urgent Care does so much more!! Flu shots, pre-employment Blood Screenings, x-rays and so much more.
We asked Kristi how do they handle patients who are hearing or visually impaired. Through use of iPads they use interpretive services to assist them with patients who have special needs.

WARNING PHONE SCAM ALERT!

A criminal has called several residents and told them they were collecting the yearly $100 donation for the Police and Fire foundation. The caller ID showed the phone number was the Swansea Government Center. The caller promised the money would go towards air packs, Tasers, and other equipment.

THIS IS A CRIMINAL SCAM! HANG UP ON THEM. There is no foundation. They spoofed the number. Police and Fire will NEVER call on the telephone asking for money.
