Friday Puppy Fact | Olfactory Learning: Puppies are born with a highly developed sense of smell, which they rely on to find their mother's milk. This acute sense of smell plays a significant role in how puppies explore and understand their world. Studies suggest that olfactory stimulation can enhance cognitive function and memory in dogs, highlighting the importance of scent-based training and exploration in early development.

If you see a deer fawn on its own this spring, leave it be! Mama deer isn't far away 🦌

During their first few weeks of life, fawns are left bedded down while the mother spends her days feeding and resting. This is done to protect the fawn from predators.

If you see a fawn bedded down over the next several months, leave it where its mother left it. Taking a fawn from the wild is unlawful.
