Our volunteers and staff have been providing emergency care to the residents of Swansea since 1953!

While our primary mission is to respond to all emergency medical calls, we are also proud to support our town as a Heart Safe Community. In the event of a cardiac arrest, CPR is critically important. Please contact us if you would like to schedule or attend a free CPR class. We also provide weekly blood pressure checks at the Council on Aging!

We will be hosting a Basic EMT NCCP refresher. The program will start on January 7th at 1730 hours. All SAC Basics are invited to attend. Additional seats will be available for other services on a first come first served basis so share with your provider colleagues. Contact us here if interested.

Did you know that one of our jobs is to keep our firefighters safe? As needed, we are dispatched for a "fire standby" especially to dangerous events such as yesterdays house fire.

We were on scene, and very glad we were not needed. Today we'd like to thank our friends at the Swansea Fire Dept who helped us place our newest flag.

Snow Shoveling Reminder!

Shoveling takes a lot of work. You're a year older and your body may not be up to the task. Intense exertion plus cold temperatures increases your chance of "chest pain" (angina), heart attack (MI), or cardiac arrest. Don't push yourself!

Following the success of our previous EMT scholarship, Swansea Ambulance Corps (SAC) is pleased to offer another opportunity for a Swansea resident interested in becoming an EMT.

We’re providing one free seat in the EMT Basic Class hosted by Fall River EMS, which will run from February through May 2025.

This scholarship has a quick turnaround, as classes start soon. Interested applicants should message us directly for more details, including exact dates and requirements.

We look forward to supporting another community member on their path to becoming an EMT!

Announcing an immediately available scholarship for a Swansea Resident interested in becoming an EMT. This scholarship has just become available and has a very short turnaround time as the classes will be starting in early September!

SAC is able to offer one free seat in the EMT Basic Class to be given by Fall River EMS. This will run through the fall. Interested residents should message us directly and we will provide more details regarding exact dates and requirements.
