Spent the last 2 days with one of the finest police officers I’ve ever met (I should know- coming from a long family of law enforcement)! Officer Brian Abraham and I are being trained in SRP (standard response protocol) and SRM (standard reunification method) to be able to bring reunification training to our entire district. The safety and security of our school families is important to us and at the end of the day we want to place your child’s hands back in yours!

SCMS Survivor Camp ran last Friday and Saturday! Survivor Camp helps students feel confident and prepared for the start of middle school. Students toured the building and practiced with combination locks. The camp also reviewed school rules and expectations, and schedules and daily routines for SCMS. Current 6th grade students who attended Survivor Camp last year, worked as counselors helping campers with their first hand student experiences and advice to help navigate and survive 6th grade next year! Survivor Camp gives students a chance to ask questions, meet staff, and build comfort in their soon to be new school environment.
