Van Buren Township retired fire chief dies after battling health issues and COVID-19

Chief McInally also served as Mundy township chief for several years.

Van Buren Township retired fire chief David Cameron McInally died Friday, May 1 after battling health issues and the coronavirus.

Per the Michigan State Fire Marshal, Kevin Sehlmeyer, in April there was a 41% increase in the number of deaths as a result of home fires in this state. As we stay home to protect ourselves and loved ones from the COVID-19 virus, don't forget the other hazards that exist at home. Please test your smoke detectors. Replace old batteries and or any smoke detector over 10 years old. Stay safe.

Just a couple days away from this years car show!! Weather looks to be on our side again. We've added a couple more trophies and new shirts for this year and as always have a ton of door prizes and raffles. Remember dash plaques for the first 100 cars. Spread the work and let's break the 200 car mark this year.
