Today, Hill received a very special visit from Harker’s current 5th grade students during our Fly Up event! ⬆️💫 6th grade Student Leaders & G&T students led students around the building offering them a tour of the school, insight into 6th grade, and expert tips on how to succeed next year! To our incoming 6th graders: welcome to Walter Hill! We can’t wait to meet you and watch you embark on your journey in your last year at the Swedesboro Woolwich School District and your final adventure as a Comet 💫☄️

Hill is serving looks and…items from the 🚨Lost & Found 🚨

Our staff hit the runway showcasing the most iconic missing items at school this year. Featuring: water bottles, lunch boxes, glasses, sweatshirts, pencil cases, and our staff members who may have missed their calling as models 💫

If you recognize any of these items, please claim them before Friday, June 5th, as unclaimed items will be donated. Students: remember the Lost and Found is located outside the gym/cafeteria area.

Mrs. Woronicak’s Pre-Algebra class hatched chickens! They put the 10 eggs in an incubator, which acts like the mother, and rotates the eggs every hour. The eggs stayed in the incubator for 21 days (3 weeks). During the 3 weeks they needed to put water in the incubator every day to make sure the humidity was stable. On day 21 the chicks started to hatch! In total, we had eight chicks! 80 percent of the eggs hatched, which is great because typically only 50% will hatch. They also had a chick race! The winner was Dr. Speckles! 🐣

Students in Mrs. Titus and Mrs. Komadina’s class did a blind taste test for on brand and off brand items. They calculated what the better buy was financially and students blindly picked which tasted better. A few students picked the off brand and their favorite 🍪✅💰

Happy School Nurse’s Day to the most amazing nurse Hill could ask for! We are so grateful for Nurse Canora’s knowledge, care, compassion, and dedication to our school community and student safety. From caring for scraped knees, assisting with elevator use when students have boots and casts, dealing with upset bellies, checking a sore throat, training staff, and providing a calm presence when it’s needed most—we are so grateful for you! 💙🩺
