From our partners at the Sweet Home Fire District: don't forget - a little rain doesn't mean it's okay to start burning. Please be safe and make sure to stay current with our burn ban.

As we start to see cooler weather with some rain over the next couple days, we want to remind everyone that burning is still not allowed in Linn County, which includes Sweet Home and surrounding areas. We know the cloudy weather and incoming rain are giving us hope for cooler weather and a retreat from the danger of fire. But it’s still very much summer and we will remain in fire season until long duration rains come into the region.

Please be vigilant in keeping our area safe from fires.

"The road over Foster Dam will be closed on the following dates from 8am-4pm in order to conduct dam inspections:

Tuesday, September 1

Mark your calendars and join us in Sankey Park Friday, September 11th for Movies in the Park!

For our September movie we will be showing "Zootopia 2" in Sankey Park. We can't think of a more fitting way to draw summer to a close than by watching a free movie at Sankey Park.

We attempted to show this movie at the beginning of summer but due to technical difficulties we had to cancel. This time around, we have upgraded equipment and are excited to reshow "Zootopia 2".

Admission is FREE and there will be FREE snacks provided by Gregory Home Team - Keller Williams Realty. The movie will start at dusk.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Sweet Home Public Library
