Heads up… The Storm Prediction Center has added a marginal severe risk (level 1 of 5) for this afternoon and evening for all of west Alabama.

A few storms could produce strong wind and frequent lightning, especially after 2pm. The threat of an isolated severe storm will continue well into the evening hours.

We’ll keep an eye on radar and post updates as needed. Keep in mind lightning safety! Summer storms often produce a lot of lightning.

Evening #2 of EV class(Electric Vehicle Response). Thanks to all the departments that has made the sacrifice for this two day training. It has been a great learning experience. Thanks for the instructors from Alabama Fire College that has given us the info on how to handle these electric vehicles.
