At approximately 7:30 PM on 3/22/26 Pleasant Township was dispatched to a reported structure fire in Sweetser. Upon arrival, 2 garages were fully involved with extention to the residence. An aggressive attack, inside and outside the structure, brought the fire under control in approximately 20 minutes. Crews remained on scene cleaning up hot spots. A big thank you to Marion Fire Engine 2 and Swayzee Fire for the assistance with this incident. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported!

🎅🚒 Santa Claus is Coming to Sweetser! 🚒🎅

Get ready, Sweetser! Santa Claus is coming to town and will be escorted by the Pleasant Township Fire Department as he makes his way through our community. 🎄✨
Listen for the sirens, come outside to wave, and share in the holiday cheer as Santa spreads joy throughout our town!

We will be leaving our station tomorrow night at approximately 7:00 pm. Starting on the west side of town and working to the east!

Today June 22 at about 1250pm your Swayzee Firefighters were dispatched as mutual aid to assist Green Twp Fire with a Barn Fire in 6000 west 800 South area. Rescue 13 and Tanker 13 responded. Upon Rescue 13 arrival Fire had self vented through the roof. Due to heat and the Barn being well involved addition mutual aid departments were requested. No injuries or deaths occured. The following agencies were on scene:

Greentown Volunteer Fire Co., Inc
Mill Twp. Fire/Rescue/EMS
Pleasant Township Volunteer Fire Department
Grant County EMS Ambulance 9

Grant County Sheriff's Office - Marion, IN
In addition request was made for Special Ops 1 for rehab for firefighters.
All Swayzee trucks are back on station.
