🎉✨ On May 20, our West High School Student Council celebrated another successful year at their annual banquet! The evening was filled with great food, inspiring words from a distinguished alumnus, and well-deserved recognition of our students' many accomplishments.

We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated Student Council members and advisors whose hard work, leadership, and commitment make a positive impact on our students and school community every day. Congratulations to all who were recognized, and thank you for everything you do! 👏🎓💙

The West Junior High School Drama Club recently had the incredible opportunity to meet Broadway performer and West Jr. High alumna, Adriana Negron, who is currently in Broadway’s Aladdin! 🌟💙

Students also enjoyed meeting her talented friend and fellow Aladdin cast member, Sonya Balsara who has a starring role! 🎶🎭

Congratulations to the Pocono Mountain East Junior High Odyssey of the Mind Team for earning 1st Place at the Odyssey of the Mind World Finals! 🥇👏

As if that wasn't impressive enough, the team was also honored with the prestigious Ranatra Fusca Award, recognizing their outstanding creativity, innovation, and exceptional problem-solving skills. 💡✨🎭

This incredible achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and imagination of our students and coaches. We are so proud of all they have accomplished on the world stage! 🌟🌍

🎮🏆 WHS Esports Shines at the State Championships! 🏆🎮

On Saturday, May 30, the West High School Esports team traveled to Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, PA, to compete in the PIEA State Grand Championship Finals for the Super Smash Bros. Individuals Tournament.

👏 Congratulations to Mason Denmon and Michael Oke, who advanced to the Top 16 out of 100 student competitors from across Pennsylvania!

🎮 Mason tied for 8th place in the state
🎮 Michael tied for 7th place in the state

🚗💥 West High School recently hosted PMSD’s annual Mock Crash program for our WHS seniors. This impactful experience served as a powerful reminder of the importance of safe and responsible driving practices. 🚔🚑

Through this realistic demonstration, students were able to see firsthand the serious consequences that can result from unsafe decisions behind the wheel. ❤️‍🩹
