Swissvale Library opened for business on February 4th, 1918 and is one of 19 libraries that Andrew Carnegie built in Pittsburgh and Allegheny County. We have been serving the public for almost 100 years and we are preparing for many more years of service to come. Use your county-wide library card to borrow any of the library's materials. Call us, or use your online account to have it sent here for

convenient pick-up. The library is equipped with seven public computers, free WiFi, a color copier, printing, faxing, and exterior book return, and convenient street parking on Monongahela and McClure Avenues. The library is a department of the Woodland Hills School District.

Join us Friday evening for Open Mic Night at the library! Singers, musicians, poets, puppeteers, magicians, & audience members of ANY age are welcome to showcase their art and performances for others! This is a free, family-friendly event that happens every 3rd Friday of the month. Friday 6-8:30pm.
