SHS is excited to host its first blood drive of the school year on Tuesday, September 22, in the SHS library from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. To donate, students must be 17 or older, or 16 with a signed parental consent form: syc427.co/VersitiPC. You also must schedule a time slot before the day of the event.

Please consider helping, as all donations directly support our local community. Snacks, refreshments, and recovery time will be provided for those attending.

Important Reminders:
- Students must sign up prior to Tuesday, September 22. To schedule your donation time and ensure a smooth process, please visit: syc427.co/SHSBloodDonor26
- Sixteen year old students MUST have a signed parental consent form turned in to Mr. Anderson before Tuesday, September 22. Forms can also be picked up in the main office or in the library.
- Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids before and after donating.

Theo O'Brien is the nominee who most exemplifies this month’s Spartan disposition: Problem Solver.

This month’s Portrait of a Spartan nominee is from our Art Department. Mrs. Dewitt states, "Theo O'Brien, one of our Art Department TAs, is incredibly resourceful, constantly moving around the art studio to troubleshoot everything from a disorganized tool closet to a squeaky door hinge. He’s deeply dedicated to his role, always anticipating what we would need to run a smoother/more organized studio space before we even have to ask."

U.S. News ranks the country's high schools numerically based on multiple sources of objective data. SHS ranked in the top 40% nationally. Way to go, Spartans!
