📢 City Hall Holiday Schedule📢

City Hall will be closed, 📅 Monday, September 7th, 2026 in observance of Labor Day.

We will reopen at normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

📢 GFL Labor Day Holiday Schedule

📅 GFL will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, 2026 in observance of Labor Day

What this means for residents:
❗️Trash service will be delayed by one day for the week of September 7th - September 11th, 2026.
✅️ Make sure your carts are out the night before your regular service date in case services are completed before expected.
✅️ GFL will work Saturday, September 12th, 2026 to service Friday's customers and any that may have been missed.

As always, please contact the City Clerk's Office at (256) 861-1026 to report any issues with trash service.

🚧 Public Announcement Regarding Park Street:

The contractor will begin working on Park Street today. He will be prepping the pavement today and will install the binder course tomorrow.

Final paving course will come within a few weeks after the Utilities Board relocates the sewer line in the area.

🎓 High School diploma or GED required.
🗓️ Must work some holidays and weekends.
✔️ Must submit to a background check, pre-employment, and random drug testing.
🚛 Must possess an Alabama Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
