LOOK BEFORE YOU LOCK!

These photos are from Hot Car Display events in our community, a powerful reminder that a vehicle can become dangerously hot in just minutes.

So far this year, 21 children have died in the U.S. from being left in hot cars. Every one of these deaths is preventable.

✔️Please look before you lock.
✔️Check the back seat every time you leave your vehicle.
✔️Never leave a child alone in a vehicle—even for a minute.
✔️Keep vehicles locked when not in use so children can’t climb inside.

Make “Look Before You Lock” a habit. It could save a life.

During a survey of 1,000 teens ages 13-18; 40% of teens told us they had been hit or almost hit by car and half of teens stated that they text while walking. It's important to make eye contact with drivers when crossing the street, when you look them in the eye, they look you in the eye.

Remember Driveway Safety, especially during the first days of Back To School. We
know we are all in a hurry, but before you drive away, take a few seconds to walk all the way around your parked vehicle to check for children.
