REPRESENTATIVES NEEDED. Lincoln County is currently unrepresented regarding senior matters in our state of Kansas. Two positions are open that could remedy this situation.
The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging meets with an 18-county board to determine priorities for senior citizens of North Central Kansas. This board meets five times each year, often in Junction City. They discuss in committees and make recommendations for the betterment of seniors’ lives in our District 8 and throughout the state. Lincoln County is currently without representation on this board and has been so for several years.
The county is also without a representative to the Silver Haired Legislature. This group meets three times each year, in Topeka and elsewhere within the state.

You are invited to a Super Bowl party at the Sylvan Senior Center on Sunday, February 8. Doors will open at 3 pm for games and card playing, food, fun, visiting, and fellowship. The game starts at 5:30 pm. Stay as long as you'd like. Please bring a snack to share.

Everyone...please stay safe and warm these next 3 days because of the extreme temperatures and incoming snow. Stay indoors if at all possible. Just enjoy some relaxing days and beautiful scenery.

Happy New Year! 20 adults and 6 children attended the afternoon party today. Cards and games were enjoyed by all, in addition to lots of yummy soups, snacks, sweets, and punch. Thanks to everyone for coming to ring in the new year with an afternoon of fun, food, and fellowship.
