You are invited to attend the monthly gathering at the Sylvan Senior Center on Tuesday, July 14, at noon. We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs for the meal - please bring a side dish to share. Following the meeting and meal, we will have a Celebrate America party with games. It promises to be a fun day! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

It's Lincoln County Fair week in Sylvan Grove! The Sylvan Senior Center will be busy! Please visit our concession stand in the morning for breakfast starting on Thursday, and in the evening for supper starting Wednesday. Then join us for BINGO starting at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. If anyone wants to volunteer to help, please let us know.

July is going to be a busy month for the Senior Center! Please join us for our monthly meeting and potluck on Tuesday, July 14. We will have BBQ hamburgers and dogs - please bring a side dish to share with everyone. We will also have a Celebrate America Party - wear your red, white, and blue! We will be playing games and enjoying the afternoon together! Please mark your calendar and plan to attend our meal and party on the 14th at noon!

REPRESENTATIVES NEEDED. Lincoln County is currently unrepresented regarding senior matters in our state of Kansas. Two positions are open that could remedy this situation.
The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging meets with an 18-county board to determine priorities for senior citizens of North Central Kansas. This board meets five times each year, often in Junction City. They discuss in committees and make recommendations for the betterment of seniors’ lives in our District 8 and throughout the state. Lincoln County is currently without representation on this board and has been so for several years.
The county is also without a representative to the Silver Haired Legislature. This group meets three times each year, in Topeka and elsewhere within the state.
