Many of the adults in Screven and Jenkins Counties have fond memories of visiting the bookmobile and being greeted by the "Bookmobile Lady," Barbara Gilbert. For 33 years, she would travel the roads of our counties, visiting communities and homebound patrons as she shared the joy of reading with everyone.
