Happy Friday everyone!
There's been quite a bit of work going on behind the scenes lately. As you know, this water project has been crazy hectic and very frustrating at times. On a positive note, it's shown us that we need a better way to communicate with our community, and that's what we've been working to improve.
We're excited to announce that, with the help of the Hutchinson-Reno County Emergency Communication Department, we are able to introduce you to the Everbridge notification system. This system will allow the city to notify you WITHOUT needing social media. We can keep you up to date on all things city-related by sending a text, phone call, email, or any combination of the three you prefer. We can enter as many numbers and email addresses as you'd like, but we'll need your help. Additionally, we will have many notifications translated into Spanish.
Included in this picture, as well as in the monthly newsletter, you'll find all the available options to make sure the city has the best way to reach you for future notifications. This will be the primary notification system moving forward. Social media will be secondary.

Water system update: The city office was unaware that the entire town was without water.
As of 12pm today, it is expected to be restored mid to late afternoon.

The city has just been notified that water service WILL NOT be interrupted today.

TOMORROW at approximately 6:30am water service will be off for a portion of the day.
