Just a reminder, please NO burning. We are under an enhanced wildfire risk due to extremely dry conditions and gusty winds.

Breezy south winds, low relative humidity values, and dry vegetation will lead to an elevated risk for wildfires this afternoon, mainly between noon and 7 PM. Outdoor burning and activities that involve open sparks or flames are discouraged.

Annual Statewide Tornado Drill tomorrow morning.

Statewide Tornado Drill on Wednesday, March 4, at 9:07 AM CT

The NWS will again be using live event codes, meaning the message will go over as a Tornado Warning (with lots of TEST wording) and will activate the EAS, We hope that the EAS activation will increase participation. If there is a threat of severe weather at the scheduled time, we will postpone the drill to a fair weather day.
