Syracuse FFA

10/23/2026

Thursday morning started off early at opening session and had the opportunity to hear from Scott McKain. Then students traveled back and were able to network more at the convention expo.

After we ate, we headed to Conner Prairie and took a step back to the 1830s. Students had the opportunity to learn, see, and interact with people from that time period.

Then we met up with our American Degree recipients Emily and Hailey and we all ate supper together sponsored by the FFA Boosters and Alumni.

To end our night, we played basketball with other members at our hotel.

Yesterday we made it to Indianapolis and went straight to the NCAA Hall of Fame. After that and a quick lunch, we went to the career and college expo and students walked around and networked. We ended the night at the concert of Avery Anna and Ty Myers. Today members are a little tired but ready for Opening Session!

Yesterday we traveled to St. Louis and toured Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate factory and got to sample some chocolate. Then we did some sightseeing around St. Louis and stopped at the arch and went to the museum. We stopped for the night and enjoyed a meal. Today we will be in Indianapolis.

Today we traveled to Beatrice for State Land Judging. Congratulations to Gage Hobbs for earning the runner up at State and Baylor Borer for placing 6th in the adult division!

If you would be willing to take a few moments to fill out this survey to help ag business class with their marketing plan, that would be greatly appreciated. They are working on a plan to add adult welding classes to Syracuse Iron Works and need to gather information to be able to complete their plan.

Ag business class is working on developing a marketing plan. We are doing our project this year over adding adult welding classes to Syracuse Iron Works. Please fill out this survey so we can gather information to assist us in creating our plan for competition.

Congratulations to the team of Gage Hobbs, Kirsten Knake, Max Cary and Pressley Wilhelm for placing 3rd at district and qualifying for the state. State will be hosted by Lower Big Blue NRD on October 14th.

Today 33 students traveled to Humboldt for Land Judging. It was a muddy and wet day. Results will posted later.

Congratulations to Emily Holz and Hailey Kirchhoff for earning their American Degree. This is the highest achievement you can get in FFA and only 1% of members achieve this. They will receive their award at the National convention this year!
