The Onondaga County Department of Transportation will conduct a replacement of the bridge on Troop K Road over Tributary to Limestone Creek in the Town of Manlius. The project is located on Troop K Road between NYS Route 173 and Post Road.

County forces will be setting up a work zone beginning September 8, 2026. An offsite detour route will be utilized. Motorists are asked to follow the marked detour during the closure.

As with any highway project, the Onondaga County Department of Transportation encourages motorists to plan ahead for potential delays and to consider alternate routes, if possible. We respectfully ask the traveling public to please reduce speeds in work zones, use caution, and be mindful of construction workers and equipment.

The Onondaga County Neighborhood Initiative program has just opened up a new $2 million Revolving Loan Fund to help Bayberry homeowners in the Town of .

They can get up to $25,000 for exterior upgrades through a mix of 70% low interest loan (1% for up to 7 years) and 30% grant - and when the loan is repaid, the grant is fully forgiven. That means a homeowner borrowing the full amount would only repay $17,500. Even better: no income restrictions.

Home HeadQuarters will administer the program, building on their success managing earlier rounds. Since he created it, County Executive McMahon’s Initiative has loaned $7.6m to assist with exterior improvements to nearly 700 homes throughout Onondaga County.

Today, we join in celebrating the incredible life of Dolly Parton and the lasting impact she made on music and on our communities.

More than 30 years ago, she launched Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, a program that sends free, high quality books to children from birth to age five - regardless of their family’s income. Currently, more than 16,000 Onondaga County children receive books through the program each month.

In June, County Executive J. Ryan McMahon, II celebrated with the Basiliere family as their son Maverick received the 2 millionth book delivered in Onondaga County through the Imagination Library! During that celebration, he joined City of Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens in proclaiming ‘Dolly Parton Imagination Library Recognition Day’ in both the county and the city.

Ryan McMahon, II says the $10 million enhancement will help power a vibrant waterfront destination - boosting jobs, businesses, and tourism across . The most significant investment in the marina since its construction in 1933, key improvements include:
▶ Expanded capacity: 28 new boat slips + 11 personal watercraft slips
▶ Modern floating docks and upgraded utilities
▶ A new 1,000 ft steel sheet pile retaining wall for stronger, more stable shoreline protection
