A private foundation that makes grants to non-profit organizations in Onondaga, Oswego and Madison Counties. The Gifford Foundation is involved in a number of neighborhood and capacity building initiatives throughout Central New York, including ADVANS, (Advancing and Developing the Value and Assets of Nonprofits in Syracuse),"What If..." Film Series, the IDEAS Collaborative (Initiative to Develop and Engage Audiences in Syracuse.) The Gifford Foundation also hosts "Giffordslist", a resource sharing website for nonprofits and businesses throughout Central New York. (www.giffordslist.org).
