One Mission, Two Nations 🇺🇸x🇨🇦

During Exercise Hungry Horse, members of the 106th Rescue Wing joined Canadian partners for joint live-fire training featuring HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopters and rescue personnel. Public Affairs Airmen from the 174th Attack Wing and 107th Attack Wing were on the ground documenting the training and capturing the teamwork between allied forces.

Exercises like Hungry Horse strengthen interoperability, sharpen combat readiness, and reinforce partnerships between U.S. and Canadian military units.

Opening the Doors to Our Community 🤝

The 174th Attack Wing recently welcomed Syracuse City Auditor Alexander Marion for a tour of Hancock Field Air National Guard Base, giving local leadership a closer look at the wing’s mission and daily operations. The visit highlighted one of Col. Brett Batick’s key priorities, civil support, by strengthening community partnerships and increasing awareness of the role the 174th plays both locally and globally.

During the visit, Marion received mission briefs and toured facilities across the wing to better understand how Airmen support intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and MQ-9 Reaper operations while serving the citizens of Central New York.

Building the foundation... literally 🏗️

Airmen from the 174th Attack Wing Civil Engineering Squadron spent drill weekend pouring concrete slabs that will support future Civil Air Patrol encampments hosted at Hancock Field. The new pads will provide stable tent locations for cadets as they complete training during annual encampment activities.

From construction projects to emergency response, Civil Engineers play a critical role in maintaining mission readiness and supporting operations across the wing. Big shoutout to CE for the hard work and dedication that keeps the mission moving forward.
