We are a K-6 public school serving families that live in Syracuse and Clearfield. We have a strong and active Community Council and PTA that are the heart of our parental involvement. Both contribute greatly to the programs and services offered at the school. We also have a Read Today program that coordinates a volunteer reading team from our community to increase reading fluency, vocabulary, and

comprehension. Our student population is typically around 900. The school offers Excel course offerings in Ballroom Dance (Gr. 6), Cougar Choir (Gr. K-6), Orchestra (Gr. 4-6), Robotics/Programming (Gr. 4-6), and a School Play/Musical (Gr. 5-6). A student council comprised of elected students from our 6th Grade also serve the students and families of the school. We also have a Jr HOPE Squad to help assist students. We have an SEM (gifted/talented) pull-out program for Grades 1-6 during the day. We also have special education teachers and two speech and language pathologists, all who serve students with various learning needs. We appreciate every single student, parent, staff member, and business partner that does so much to make our school a fun and safe place to learn!

Hello Cook Elementary Families-
We are nearing the end of our Tackle Hunger Food Drive. Our goal is to make 700 pantry packs for the Bountiful Food Pantry. The food donated benefits students throughout Davis County- including students from Cook Elementary! We are getting close to our goal but could still use your help! We will be extending the contest over the weekend. Items still needed are Easy Mac, granola bars, oatmeal packets, squeeze pouch applesauce, and cheese or peanut butter crackers. If you're having a difficult time finding Easy Mac in local stores, you can purchase it on Amazon. Cash donations are also accepted. We will wait until Wednesday to determine the winner of the pizza party. Thank you for your generous support in our efforts to Tackle Hunger!

Join the Student Council and the Bountiful Food Pantry in our drive to tackle hunger!

FAQ-
Can a student bring another grade assigned item and have it still count for their grade?
YES- We will keep track of the number of items per grade level, not what was donated. (Assignments are made to ensure we get an even amount of items to make as many packs as possible.)

Does it have to be the Easy Mac?
YES- In order to fit all the items in a single, quart sized bag, it must be the Easy Mac (no cups, no boxes).

Can I donate money and have it counted toward the contest?
YES- Each dollar donated will count as 1 item.

Can I still donate after the last day?
YES- The food drive officially ends on the 6th of February. However, student council will not be assembling the packs until the 20th.

Thank you for your support! Go Cougars!
