Pops in the Park: Summer Outdoor Music Series is BACK for 2026 🎤🎸🎶

Bring a blanket or a lawn chair and visit your favorite park to enjoy music from a variety of local artists. Pop-Up Zumba will also be offered before our July 21 and August 11 shows!

All performances will begin at 7:00 p.m. Any weather-related cancellations will be announced via our social media pages.

Join us this evening to discuss the future of the Onondaga Creek Watershed and share your feedback with members of the City of Syracuse - Office of the Mayor's Neighborhood & Business Development and Engineering Departments, as well as some of our Parks Department staff.

Join NYS Department of Environmental Conservation, SUNY ESF's Center for Native Peoples and the Environment, City of Syracuse - Office of the Mayor Parks, Engineering and Neighborhood & Business Development departments, and partners for the Onondaga Creek Watershed Community Listening Session to share your priorities and visions for Onondaga Creek.

When: Wednesday, June 3, 5:00 – 7:30 p.m.

Where: Bob Cecile Community Center, 174 W Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13205

What: The event will begin with an informal and interactive open house with subject matter experts. At 5:30 p.m. there will be brief remarks and an overview of previous work in the watershed, followed by breakout discussions. Community leaders will facilitate discussions about flood resilience, recreation and creek access, housing and neighborhood amenities, water quality and habitat, and shared governance within the watershed.

The event is free and open to the public and will focus on capturing new ideas and expanding upon existing momentum to build a more resilient creek watershed community.

The City of Syracuse Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs will host public meetings to gather feedback on potential future construction projects in three city parks: Barry Park, Elmwood Park and Cummings Field.

Each meeting will consist of an interactive community engagement session where residents can select potential design options for new playground features. There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback on potential design options for a picnic pavilion at Elmwood Park and a picnic shelter and multi-use events stage at Cummings Field.

🚧 Pass Arboretum is getting easier for everyone to explore. Our accessibility paving project is officially underway! These upgrades are a part of our Pass Arboretum Improvement Plan Phase I to improve ecological health, visitor experience and educational opportunities with the goal of achieving Level 1 Arboretum Accreditation.
